Bruce John Gillespie

It is with great heartbreak that we announce the unexpected death of Bruce John Gillespie of Back Bay NB who passed away on February 11th, 2020 at the age of 59. Bruce was born in Barberton, Ohio on April 20th 1960.

He leaves behind his soul mate, best friend and loving wife: Faith Mitchell-Gillespie; his children: Danielle Gillespie (Jerome) and Brittany Gillespie (Corey) both of Tennessee; step-children: Raelene Wright (Michael) of Canal NB, Mitchell Borthwick of Back Bay, Joshua Clemente of Florida and Erika Angulo (Alvaro) of South Carolina; his grandchildren: Kylie Bussell of Tennessee and Rory Wright of Canal NB; his father: John Gillespie (Lorraine Wauchula) of Florida; his brothers: Gil Gillespie of Georgia and Dave Gillespie (Nancy) of Florida; his sister: Michelle Berg of Georgia; and his niece: Sarah Kramme (Jared) of Florida. Bruce is also survived by in-laws, extended family and by many good friends. He was predeceased by his mother: Iola Mae Gillespie; infant daughter: Joy Gillespie; and brother in-law: Bill Berg.

Bruce had always been self employed and doing jobs he loved. His first job being owner of a lawn care business in Florida, then Bruce started an exotic bird business known as CM Gamebird Farm. As Bruce made his life in Canada he started Package Depot in Calais, Maine which became very successful after a lot of hard work. Whatever Bruce did, he gave it his all and took pride in it.

Bruce loved to golf and he loved football especially his "Pats". Bruce loved to travel and was always looking forward to new adventures. He also loved playing his harmonicas (just one of his hidden talents). Bruce made friends easily. He had such a loving and caring spirit. He was truly a Gentle Soul.

Bruce loved life and his entire family. He was a dedicated family man but Bruce always put God first. Bruce will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB with visiting on Saturday from 11am- 1:30 pm. The service will be held from the church on Saturday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. The interment will be held in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Bruce's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
