Carol Louise Hatt
At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews on January 26, 2020, Carol Louise (Scott) Hatt, wife of the late Donald "Edward" Hatt of Pennfield NB. Born in St. Stephen NB on December 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lenward "Clint" and Alberta "Betty" (McLaughlin) Scott. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Carol is survived by one son: Paul (Jackie) Hatt of Ardoie NS; grandchildren: Christopher Hatt (Kaitlyn Sullivan) of Sackville NS and Stacie Lynn Hatt (Tiffany Trites) of Bedford NS; great-grandsons: Bryton Hatt and Grayson Hatt; her mother-in-law: Norva Hatt of St. George NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by two brothers: Larry Scott and Marven Scott.

Prior to retirement, Carol was employed by Connors Brothers for several years both in the Connors Save Easy and the labeling room. With her outgoing personality and with her late husband Eddie, Carol took part in various local activities including the Charlotte County ATV Club, the Charlotte County Antique Car Club, was a former co-caretaker of the Pennfield Rural Cemetery and was also an active member of the Red Hatters. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield NB on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Greg Card officiating. Interment will be held in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
