Joyce Audrey Lynch

The passing of Joyce Audrey (Hanley) Lynch, wife of the late William R. Lynch of St. George NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on November 13, 2019. Born in Back Bay NB on December 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Truman and I. Belle (Walsh) Hanley. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Joyce is survived by two sons: Robert Lynch (Melanie) of Saint John NB and Bruce Lynch (Dwayne Stoddard) of Fredericton NB; two grandsons: Nicholas Lynch (Marci) of St. George NB and Joel Lynch of Saint John NB; one great-grandson: Jesse Lynch of St. George NB; special friend and chosen daughter: Joanne Murray (Bill) of Caithness NB and many cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was predeceased by one son: Ronald Lynch; one brother: Lloyd Hanley: and one daughter in infancy: Trudy.

Joyce was a kind hearted soul who devoted her life to her family and friends. She always put others before herself and took care of those around her. After the passing of her husband Bill, she kept busy running the roads with her friends shopping and going for lunch. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson and always looked forward to their visits. She put up a long, hard fight in the last few years of her life, but she did so with a smile and grace and never complained once to her family. In her quiet time, Joyce enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles and catching up with her friends and family on the phone. Her love and devotion will be missed greatly by her family.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Charlotte County Hospital, especially those in the CCU and Palliative Care Departments for the care and compassion shown not only to Joyce but to our family over these last few weeks. And to Joanne Murray, there are no words to describe how grateful we are for you and all you have done. Your love towards our mother and grandmother never went unnoticed and we are thankful for you every day.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Joyce's wishes there will be no visiting. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the St. George Rural Cemetery, St. George NB with Rev. Randy Crozier officiating. In Joyce's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer would be greatly appreciated by the family.
