Prior to retirement, Kenneth worked various seasonal jobs in the local area including clam digging and forestry work. He had a passion for music and at the age of 17 taught himself to play the guitar and could often be heard playing his favourites by Hank Snow. He was a soft hearted and generous man who enjoyed watching the Dodgers in the summer and the Canadiens in the winter.
