Richard "Ricky" Sydney Richardson

The passing of Richard "Ricky" Sydney Richardson of Richardson NB occurred unexpectedly at his home on October 24, 2019. Born in Saint John NB on August 22, 1959, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Roberta Richardson. A loving brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, Ricky is survived by his brothers: Brent (Nancy) Richardson of New Maryland NB and Roger Richardson of Stuart Town NB; his nephew: Lucas Richardson (Ashley Bradford) of Richardson NB; his niece: Tonelle Richardson (Max Richardson) of Lord's Cove NB; aunt: Charlotte Richardson of Lambert's Cove NB; cousin: Paul Richardson of Lambert's Cove NB; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his aunts: Harriet Richardson and Geraldine Gardener; uncle: George Richardson; and by two cousin: Mark Richardson and Lawrence Gardener.

Ricky was the operator of Richardson Grocery in Lord's Cove NB. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed baseball and hockey and was once a member of the Deer Islanders hockey team. He enjoyed both working on and driving his smart cars and could often be seen cruising around the island. He was people person who truly loved working at the grocery store, where he was able to socialize each and every day. He will be sadly missed by his family and many island residents.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Lord's Cove Church of Christ, Lord's Cove NB with visiting on Monday from 3-7 pm. The service will be held from the church on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Conrad Cline officiating followed by the interment in the Mount Hope Cemetery. In Ricky's memory, donations to charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
