Julia Louise Hawkins
The passing of Julia Louise Hawkins occurred peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on October 24, 2019 with her family by her side. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on December 21, 1928, she was a daughter of the late George Frederick and Mildred K. (Weaver) Gaudett. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, Julia is survived by her sons: Osborne (Jeanette) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour NB, Richard (Marg) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour NB, Ross (Christine) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour NB and Glen (Lana) Hawkins of St. George NB; daughters: Lynne (Ralph) Dewar of Beaver Harbour NB, Sandra (Reace) Black of Cherryvale NB, Joanne (Bill) Murray of Caithness NB and Cheryl (Bernard) Jay of Keningston PE; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Fowler Gaudett of Saint John NB; sisters: Ethel Doucette of Oromocto NB and Juanita Cheney of Saint John NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters: Kathleen Cooke, Velma Leeman, Jenny Patterson and Eleanor Justason; brothers: Hanford and William Gaudett.

Julia was a homemaker for most of her life having cared for her large family whom she was very proud of. She loved cooking and traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #39 in Blacks Harbour NB. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and her friends at Granite Court in St. George.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour NB with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the church on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark McCluskey officiating, followed by the interment in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Julia's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
