Frederick Levi Cull

Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home in Blacks Harbour NB on October 14th, 2019, Mr. Frederick Levi Cull beloved husband of Marion E (Waterman) Cull.
Born at Shoal Bay, Fogo Island NFLD on August 22, 1934 he was the son of the late Titus Oliver and Martha Ann (Leyte) Cull.A loving husband, father, and grandfather he is survived by his loving wife, Marion "Lizzie" Cull of Pennfield NB, his son Oliver (Krista) Cull of Calder's Head NB, and granddaughter, Tanesha Cull of Calder's Head NB, as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Sheppard.

Prior to his retirement, Frederick did various jobs including lumbering and fishing. He started and operated his own sawmill for 19 years as well as boatbuilding back in Fogo Island. He was an avid outdoors man who always enjoyed nature and many walks in the woods where he was always on the search for that "good timber". He also enjoyed conversation especially with his cousin Dave where he would talk and spin tales for hours, and was known as a storyteller. Though he spent most of his life in NFLD he moved to Deer Island with his family in 2014 and made Calder's Head his home.

Frederick's Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George (755-3533). Service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 2pm from the Lord's Cove Church of Christ with Pastor Jonathan Hatt officiating. In Frederick's memory donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
