Franklin Edward Hill

The passing of Franklin "Frank" Edward Hill, husband of the late Isabel Ella (Stevens) Hill of Blacks Harbour NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October 5, 2019 with his family at his side. Born in Bonny River, NB, on October 6, 1929, he was a son of the late Frank and Sarah (Buchanan) Hill. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother; Frank is survived by four sons: Robert (Helen) Hill of Blacks Harbour NB, Danny Hill of Pennfield NB, David (Susan) Hill of Pennfield and Gerry Hill of Saint John NB; one daughter: Krista (Terry) Martin of Canal NB, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; his sister: Marjorie (Gifford) Cooke of St. George NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was predeceased by a daughter: Faith Marie; one son: Stephen Blaine; granddaughters: Trina Rose and Sara Dawn; one great-grandson: Carter Joncas; daughter-in-law: Lori Hill; brothers: Murray, Cedric and Vernon; one sister: Mildred.

Prior to retirement, Frank worked for Connor's Bros. in Blacks Harbour. When not working for Connor's Bros. he was often found working in the Woods. Frank was a man of simple pleasures who loved to be in the company of his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved and was active in local horse pulls and has many trophies displayed in his home. He was a former member of the Blacks Harbour Curling Club and he will be sadly missed by his loving family.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9 pm. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating followed by the interment in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Frank's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
