Calvin "David" Thorne
The passing of Calvin "David" Thorne occurred unexpectedly at his residence in Canal NB on September 17, 2019. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on June 3, 1948, he was a son of the late Clifton and Anna "Marie" (Kingston) Thorne. A loving brother, uncle and friend, David is survived by his siblings: Clifton (Deannie) Thorne of Fredericton NB, Ramona (Gary) Vance of St. George NB, Bobby (Belinda) Thorne of Canal NB, Mary (Roger) Young of Canal NB, Joseph (Debbie) Thorne of Oven Head NB, Patricia (Mort) Frost of St. Stephen NB, Christopher (Brenda) Thorne of Canal NB and sister in law Nancy Thorne of Bethel NB; nephews: Jimmy, Kevin, Christopher, Michael and Jamie; nieces: Judy, Janet, Joanne, Christa, Megan, Nicole, Sarah, Julie, Stephanie and Teena; special friends: Kevin MacDonald and Stacey Guitard; and by several cousins. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother: Edward Thorne and sister in law Barbara Thorne.

A carpenter by trade, David had once belonged to the union and worked at various locations in the area. He was a quiet man who enjoyed keeping to himself and doing some wood working when able. The family wishes to thank both Kevin MacDonald and Stacey Guitard for their kindness and friendships they have had with David over the last few years. We are truly grateful for all you have done for David and it never went unnoticed.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with David's request there will be no visiting. A graveside service will be held at the St. George's Catholic Cemetery, Upper L'Etang NB on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 am with Father Rolando Suplido officiating. In David's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the family.
