Joan Louise Genge passed away peacefully at Carleton-Kirk Lodge Nursing Home, Saint John NB on August 20, 2019 in her 87th year. Born in St. John’s, NL, she graduated as an award-winning student of Prince of Wales Collegiate. She was a gifted homemaker, ACW member and choir member and was active in many Anglican parishes throughout Newfoundland and New Brunswick with her husband and love of her life Rev. Her standard of perfection for everything she did was well-known.

She leaves to mourn her son Peter and grandson Michael, daughters Heather (David) Bertin and Joanne Genge, her sister Marjorie (Gordon) Morgan, brother Roy (Shirley) Woolridge as well as many other relations and friends. She was predeceased by her husband David, her sister Ruby, her brother Arthur, her daughter-in-law Ngaire, and her grandson David Edward.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Following cremation there will be visitation at Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield, NB on Sunday, August 25, from 1-3 pm.
