Louis Vernon Frost

The passing of Louis Vernon Frost of Second Falls NB, husband of Alma "Josephine" Frost, occurred peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on July 12, 2019 with his family at his side. Born in Second Falls NB on February 9, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Jessie (Kinney) Frost. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, in addition to his loving wife, Josephine, he will be sadly missed by his daughters: Carolyn (Bruce) Jackson of Utopia NB, Debbie (Paul) Brooks of Hampton NB and Laura (Holden) Dunnett of Fort McMurray AB; grandchildren: Amanda, Melissa, Jennifer and Jason; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Jackson, Abigail, Declan, Abel, Melanie and Daniel; one brother: Jack (Pauline) Frost of Second Falls NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his brothers: Fred, Lloyd, Mort and Everett; sisters: Edna Murray, Rosie Oliver and Marjorie Lee.

Prior to retirement, Louis worked for Connors Bros. in Blacks Harbour. Before working at Connors Bros., he spent many years working in the forestry industry. An avid outdoorsman, Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending countless hours in his gardens, which he took great pride in. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was an animal lover who tended to bring home any animal he could. From dogs and cats to horses and pheasants, Louis loved and welcomed them all. His caring heart will always be treasured by his family and friends.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with visiting on Monday from 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the Second Falls Baptist Church on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Holden Dunnett officiating, followed by the interment in the church cemetery. In Louis' memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
