Alvin Douglas Spear
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 26, 2019, Mr. Alvin Douglas Spear of St. George NB, extra special friend of Ella Larsson passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born at Saint John NB on May 3, 1956, he was the son of the late Glendon Adams and Myra Lillian (Brooks) Spear.

A quiet, kind and gentle soul, Alvin is survived by his companion of 26 years: Ella Larsson and his special family: David Larsson of Blacks Harbour NB and Daniel Larsson of Halifax NS; his daughter: Amanda (Scott) McNea of Nova Scotia; his sister: Maxine (David) Justason of Pennfield NB as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his step father Gordon Spear; step brother: Douglas Spear; and step sister: Jeannie Chamberlain.

Prior to his illness, Alvin was employed by Lake Utopia Paper. He enjoyed driving around, snowmobiling and his old Nova. He was a quiet kind man who also enjoyed spending time with his special family and hanging out in town talking to his friends. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Arrangements are in the care of St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533) with visitation will held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the church. Interment will take place in St. George Rural Cemetery. In Alvin's memory, donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Association or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
