Nadine Frances White

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Bobby's Hospice, Saint John NB on May 11, 2019, Nadine Frances (Stoddard) White, wife of the late Stanley Burton White of St. George NB. Born in Carleton County NB on June 10, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Florence (MacDonald) Stoddard. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, Nadine will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Leonard Cooke (Nancy Thorne), Davis (Juanita) Cooke and Ross (Eva) Cooke all of Utopia NB; step daughter: Sheila Goss of Scoudouc Road NB; thirteen grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruby Cooke of Norton NB, Gladys Cooke of St. Stephen NB and Geraldine (Herb) Disher of Chamcook NB; one brother: Lewis Stoddard of Old Ridge NB; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Nadine was predeceased by a son in infancy: Lawrence; her sisters: Juanita Lloyd, Royetta Hatt and Hattie (Cooke) Russell; one brother: Linwood Stoddard.

Prior to retirement, Nadine worked at Collingwood Rest Home in Pennfield. A family minded and caring soul, she enjoyed the many times she spent with her loved ones on Bliss Island. She enjoyed traveling when able and was known to be quite talented at sewing. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Bobby's Hospice for the exceptional care shown not only to Nadine but to the whole family over these past couple of weeks. Also, to Nadine's granddaughter Bonnie Englehutt, your care and dedication to your grandmother never went unnoticed and we are truly grateful for all you have done.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the Pennfield Lion's Club, Pennfield NB on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Eric Lockhart officiating, followed by the interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bobby's Hospice, Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
