Carl Ernest Beney
1956-2019
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, in addition to his loving wife Charlene, he is survived by his children; Darren O'Neill and Melissa Beney both of Beaver Harbour and Gary (Jennifer) Beney of Saint John NB, five grandchildren; Kaylee Bradford, Christopher Beney, Clara Beney, Garrick Beney and Shay-Lynn Hatcher, his sister; Lois Williams of Pocologan as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother; Gary and his brother in law; Arthur Williams.
Prior to his illness, Carl worked for a number of years for Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour before leaving there in 1988 to take a position as a Terminal Manager for Coastal Transport in Blacks Harbour until 2009. As a gifted conservationist, it was a job he enjoyed very much. Carl loved horses and looked forward to taking in the local annual horse pulls. He was also known as a family man and enjoyed especially time spent with his grandchildren as well as being Mr. Fix it when he was able to. In his quiet times, Carl could be found tending to his journal or watching a good western especially John Wayne movies which were his favorites. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematoriun (755- 3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where a celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 2 PM. Visiting at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Carl's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
