The passing of Joseph Andrew Comeau, formerly of Pocologan NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on January 19, 2019. Born in Kent County NB on October 27, 1946, he was a son of the late Livian and Anida (Chevarie) Comeau. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Joe is survived by his children: Jody McGrath (Richard Lee) of Grand Bay-Westfield NB, Belinda Dupont (Joseph McMullin) and Andrew Dupont (Cynthia Hunter) both of Fredericton NB and Jamie Comeau (Dionne) of Red Deer AB; grandchildren: Tanisha, Courtney, Vanessa, Colby and Kristi; great-grandchildren: Jayden, Mylah, Braedyn and Keysha; brothers: Roger Comeau and Emery Comeau (Anne-Marie) both of Pennfield NB; sisters: Marguerite Cormier of St. Charles NB and Cecilia Chevarie of St. Stephen NB; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Ann Comeau; his second wife: Ida Comeau; his special friend: Wanda "Jeannie" Chamberlain; one son: Ronald Dupont, one sister: Theresa Deveau; brothers: Isodore Comeau and Zoel Comeau.

Prior to retirement, Joe worked for Connor's Bros on Deer Island. A ladies man, Joe had a soft and caring heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved hockey and played in his younger days. A passion for music, Joe didn't go too far without his guitar and could often be heard singing and playing any chance he had. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Matheson officiating followed by the interment in Stella Maris Cemetery, Blacks Harbour NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association or to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the family.
