Danny was an active member of the Pennfield Baptist Church, helping with bible study and running the sound booth. He was a proud volunteer firefighter for 23 years, having served with the departments in Cumberland Bay, Deer Island, Second Falls, Blacks Harbour and finally Fundy Bay where he rose to the rank of Captain. He worked at Keith's Building Supplies for 12 years and was a natural with customers, greeting everyone with a big smile, always going above and beyond. He loved music, especially playing his guitar.
