At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on March 20, 2018, Ronald Sheldon Conley, husband of Marilyn (Campbell) Conley of Leonardville NB. Born in Leonardville on January 22, 1923, he was a son of the late Percy and Flora (Chaffey) Conley. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, in addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, Marilyn, he is survived by daughters: Darlene (David) Lambert of St. Stephen NB and Betty (Dana) Richardson of Cummings Cove NB; sons: Daryl (Corinne) Conley of Hibernia Cove NB, Sheldon (Patty) Conley of Lords Cove NB and Norman (Jill) Conley of Fairhaven NB; grandchildren: Todd (Nancy), Trisha, Tiffany (Jonathan), Erica (Chris), Joel, Tyler (Brittany), Ian (Corri), Troy (Jolene), Cameron; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sister in laws: Sylvia Forshner, Joan Gallop and Kathryn Conley ; two brother in laws: Earl Campbell and Dave Forshner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by an infant twin brother, Raymond, brothers: Desmond, Joseph, Edward and Carroll; sisters: Alma Russell, Marion Leaman, Elizabeth Brown and Bernice Parker.

Prior to his retirement, Ronald was a self employed fisherman. In his younger years, he loved gardening and playing hockey. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays. After having spent a lifetime on the water, fishing became his number one hobby. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren who gave him so much joy.

The family extends a special thanks to the incredible care givers at the Charlotte County Hospital for their kindness and compassion during Ronalds stay.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ, Leonardville NB on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm. The service will be held from the church on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jonathan Hatt officiating followed by the interment at Fairhaven Community Cemetery. In Ronald's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
