Edith  Calder
The passing of Edith Calder, wife of the late Charles Calder of Fairhaven NB occurred on March 3, 2018 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB. Born in England on August 23, 1916, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Hey) Holmes. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Edith is survived by one daughter: Beth (Clayton) Richardson, one son: Eric Calder (Shirley) , seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother: Norman Holmes of St. Stephen NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was predeceased by one daughter: Ann; three sisters; two brothers.

Edith attended Fairhaven Baptist Church and was a member of the Deer Island Seniors Women's Institute. In her younger years she enjoyed travelling hunting, fishing and gardening. She also enjoyed her computer, catching up on the news and keeping in touch with her family and friends. She loved playing games, especially "Phase 10" with Josephine and Grace as well as daily cribbage with our angel "Kim".

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Edith's wishes, there will be no visiting. A graveside service will be held at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calder's Head NB on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. In Edith's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
