Cleveland Alexander Leavitt
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Cleveland Alexander Leavitt on February 18, 2018. Cleveland was born in Blacks Harbour NB on January 16, 1951 to Webster and Margaret (Matthews) Leavitt of L'Etang NB.

He leaves behind his spouse, Debbie (Parker) Leavitt of Pennfield; his son Jimmy Parker (beloved daughter-in-law Shelley Melanson, who never left his side during his illness) of Blacks Harbour; his son Cleveland Leavitt (loving daughter-in-law Melissa Guthrie) of Pennfield; and his son Ty Chevarie of Lake Utopia; his grandchildren, Makenzie Comeau and JT Leavitt. He also leaves behind his brothers Jimmy Leavitt (Gail) of St. George, Laurie Leavitt (Ellen) of Petitcodiac, Vance Leavitt of Saint John and Maurice Leavitt (Brenda) also of Saint John; two sisters, Lorraine Cooke (Vaughn) of Sussex and Lynn Landry of Saint John; two special nephews, Chris Leavitt of Lake Utopia and Jayson Leavitt of Edmonton AB; a special niece, Marlene Barrett of Back Bay; special friends, Joannie and Larry Cunningham of Blacks Harbour and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Cleveland was predeceased by his brothers, David and Dennis.

Cleveland was a hard worker who worked for Connors Bros for 30 years before illness in 2011 forced him to retire.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A service will be held at the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield NB on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating. Visiting at the church will take place from 12:00 Noon until the service time at 2:00 pm. In Cleveland's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to the Charlotte County Chapter of CA-R-MA would be appreciated by the family.
