Stanley Murray Patriquin

The passing of Stanley Murray Patriquin, loving husband of Mary "Cecilia" (Comeau) Patriquin of St. George NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on February 16, 2018. Born in Moncton NB on August 1, 1925, he was a son of the late Herman and Clementine (Simpson) Patriquin.

Stanley lived on Grand Manan for over 30 years and moved to St. George four years ago when he met and married Cecilia. They lived in Brunswick Court and enjoyed the company of their friends and family. Stanley was known to collect "junk" and he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days.

Leaving to mourn are his wife, Cecilia of St. George; step-sons: Emile (Joanne) Chevarie and Izedore (Carolyn) Chevarie both of Blacks Harbour and Perry (Maureen) Stanley of Maine; two step-daughters: Shirley Patriquin of Alberta and Marina Barbuto of Ontario; siblings: Edmond Patriquin and Mildred Hill both of Ontario; special family friend: Mary Ann Savoy of Nova Scotia; his caregiver and friend: Maureen Evans; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his first wife: Armina (Huntley) Patriquin; and by one son: Stanley James Patriquin.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visiting will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour NB on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Stanley's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
