Wallace Peter O'Neil
The passing of Wallace Peter O'Neil, husband of the late Bessie (Mealey) O'Neil of Pocologan NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on January 28, 2018. Born in Grand Falls NB on April 10, 1933, he was a son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Grossitte) O'Neil. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Wallace is survived by one daughter: Dianne (David) Munn of Pocologan NB; two grandchildren: Shyanne (Kenny) Hanson of Blacks Harbour NB and Carl Jr. (Angela) O'Neil of Dartmouth NS; great-grandchildren: Erik, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Racheal, Bella, Mackenzie and Ty; one sister: Ora Ryan of Florida; daughter-in-law: Laura O'Neil of Pocologan NB; special friend: Phyllis Justason of Beaver Harbour NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Wallace was predeceased by one son; Carl O'Neil; sisters: Nellie, Hilda, Georgina, Mary and Anna Marie; brothers: Raymond, Marvin, Bernard and Norman.

Prior to retirement Wallace was a self employed man who kept busy Clamming and cutting firewood. The family Mr. Fix It, he was always tinkering with something and enjoyed helping his family and friends when he could. He liked playing cards and spending his Sunday's at the Stella Maris Hall in Blacks Harbour for the music jamboree.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will take place in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Wallace's memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the family.
