Jean Phyllis  Little
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean Phyllis (Hanifan) Little announce her peaceful passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 12, 2017. She was born in Blacks Harbour on August 7, 1940 to the late William “Bill” and Zelda (Fountain) Hanifan.

Jean was an avid BINGO player, enjoyed knitting and adored her two poodles Maggie and Molly.

Left to mourn is her husband David and her 2 sons; Paul (Laura-Lee) Cogswell of Hampton, Delbert (Charlene) Cogswell of Fredericton and 3 daughters; Judy (Mike) Defazio, Susan Murtagh and Colette (Darren) Greenlaw all of Saint John, brother James Hanifan of Saint John and sister Gayle Melanson (Fred) of Fredericton, helpful friend Dave Collins.

She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren; Tina, Joey, Cyndi, Jessie, Arthur, Branden, Joey, Trinda, Scot, Lee, Josh, Ariannah and also 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her brother Murray.

Jean will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation hours will be held between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday, December 15th. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, reception to follow.

Memorial donations towards the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
