Marietta Frances Wormell
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 31, 2017, Mrs. Marietta Frances (Foster) Wormell of Blacks Harbour NB, beloved wife and soul mate of the late Maynard Wormell, went home to join her beloved "Bud" and spend eternity with her Lord.

Born at Grand Manan on April 13, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Rupert and Fleda (Ingersoll) Foster.

A loving sister, aunt and grandmother to many, she is survived by; one uncle: Morris (Marie) Ingersoll, one aunt: Barbara Brown, special cousin: Arlene Matheson, special grandson: David Greenlaw, three sister's in law: Bertha Foster and Marie Tidd as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family as well as the many Girl Guide and Brownie Troops who adopted Bud and Marietta as honorary grandparents over the years. In addition to her parents and her beloved Bud, she was predeceased by four brothers; Ellis and Eastman Foster and Edward and Sherwood Tidd.

Prior to her retirement, Marietta worked as a packer at Connors Brothers for many years. Marietta loved the Lord and enjoyed serving him in many ways such as working with children. She was a Sunday School Superintendent in two churches and Sunday School teacher for several years. God gave her a special gift of storytelling which she loved. Marietta was a prayer warrior in the community for many years and a long time member of the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church where she also sang for many years in the choir. Bud and Marietta also worked many years with the local Brownie and Guides Packs and were named the packs honorary adopted grandparents as well as former volunteers for the Blacks Harbour School Breakfast program. She will be greatly and sadly missed.

Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church from where the service will be held on Sunday at 2PM with Pastor Greg Card officiating followed by interment in the Pennfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Saturday from 1-4 pm. In Marietta's memory, donations to the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Saint John Regional Hospital Neurology ICU or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
