The following is a poem that Mildred wrote and dedicated to her children.....

"To My Children"

When I have gone to my eternal rest
Remember Children I did my best
To be a good Mother loving and true
you will never know the love I had for you
We shared life together, good and bad
Being alone, God took your Dad
But the love we shared when we were together
Life's ups and downs, we had to weather
I was greatly rewarded for your love in return
Our lives were happy, please don't for me yearn
Be good to each other, if one is in need
God will be with you, troubled times will recede
Someday we will meet when your day is done
I'll wait on Gods pathway
My Daughters and Son
We'll all be together along with your Dad
When I leave for a while, do not be sad
