David Arthur Barry
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 14, 2017, David Arthur Barry, partner of Cheryl "Sherry" Steen of St. George NB. Born in St Stephen NB on April 3, 1950, he was a son of the late Arthur and Geraldine (Hatt) Barry. David spent his working life as an Industrial Mechanic at Lake Utopia Paper. He was a hard worker who truly never worked a day in his life because he loved what he did. He enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with Sherry and driving around on the John Deere. He loved a good hockey game and being with his family. David always loved to play a good joke on anyone and loved to tease, you often had trouble telling if he was being serious or not. An avid Bingo player, he could be found playing any chance he had. He was a member of the St. George's Catholic Church, C.E.P. Local 523N (now Unifor) and was an EAP Rep for the Mill.

A loving partner, father, grandfather and brother, besides by his partner: Sherry, he is survived by; one daughter: Tammy Barry (Paul Turmel) of Oak Bay NB; one son: Chris (Mandy) Barry of Utopia NB; his beloved grandchildren: Cody and Jessie; brothers: Elwood (Brenda) of Utopia, Raleigh of St. Stephen NB, Terry (Ginette), Ross (Brenda) and Greg (Holly) all of Caithness NB; sisters: Glenna (Harold) Ross of L'Etang NB and Debbie (Earle) Ingalls of St. George NB; special family: Troy Thorne of Alberta and his daughter, Megan of Maine, Tracy (Andrea) Thorne and their children, Catherine and Tyler all of St. George sisters-in-law: Sandra of St. Stephen and Peggy Ann of Caithness; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by brothers: Peter, George and Donald; sisters: Beullah and Diane.

The family would like to thank the Eastern Charlotte Extra Mural Program and the Nurses at the Oncology Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital for all their care they have shown to David over these last few months.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the St. George's Catholic Church, St. George NB on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 am with Father Rolando Suplido officiating. In David's memory donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to the Eastern Charlotte Extra Mural would be appreciated by the family.
