Reginald Carson French

Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on June 5, 2017, Reginald Carson French, husband of Jacqueline Anita (Doucette) French of St. George NB went home to be with the Lord. Born in Back Bay NB on March 10, 1941, he was a son of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Hanley) French. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife, Jacqueline, he is survived by two sons: Calvin French of Calgary AB and Darren (Barbara) French of St. George NB; one daughter: Debbie (Jack) Berdan of Breadalbane NB; grandchildren: Bonnie (Brian) White, Jeremiah French, Jenna Berdan (Francis Levesque), Simone French (Tyler Anderson) and Christoper Berdan (Alyson Crothers); great-grandchildren: Autumn, Addie and Ryker; one sister: Mildred (Mered) Hatt of L'Etang NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Reggie was predeceased by his brothers: Valmond, Boynton, Glendon, Melvin and Clarence.

Prior to retirement, Reggie worked as a self employed fisherman. He was an avid outdoorman who looked forward to his annual hunting trip. A true family man, he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he cherished the time spent with them as well as his family and friends. An active member of the Sea View Gospel Church, Reggie was a member of both the Men's and Senior Fellowship Groups as well as the nursing home ministry. His warm, friendly smile will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will take place at the church on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating, followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Reggie's memory, donations to Sea to Sea Ministries (Dale and Gwen French Philippines Ministry) or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
