Clarence Douglas French
Clarence Douglas French passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on March 3, 2017. He was born in Back Bay NB on September 9, 1938, the son of Thomas and Gertrude (Hanley) French.

He is survived by his wife, Isabel (MacDonald) French of St. George NB; one daughter, Peggy (Lance) Matheson of St. Stephen; two sons, Douglas (Deb) French of Calgary and Dale (Gwen) French of the Philippines; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; one sister, Mildred (Mered) Hatt of L'Etang; one brother: Reginald (Jacqueline) French of St. George; two sisters-in-law, Pearl French and Joyce French and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his brothers, Valmond, Melvin, Boyton and Glen.

Though born in Back Bay NB, Clarence lived in St. George NB and at the age of 17 joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he spent 10 years and for a time was stationed in North Bay, ON where he made many good friends. He was a member of the Sea View Full Gospel Church where he was very active in Men's Fellowship and the Senior Fellowship group and enjoyed doing nursing home visitation.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the church on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Fern Jones officiating. In Clarence's memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
