Barry Leroy Sheehan
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on January 13, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, Mr. Barry Leroy Sheehan, beloved Husband of Mary (Richardson) Sheehan of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Saint John NB on July 28, 1953, he was a son of the late Ernest and Mary (Donner) Sheehan.

A loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother and uncle, in addition to his beloved wife Mary, Barry is survived by his stepchildren: Elise Macglashing (David), Matthew McCrum (Danielle), Aleta Reid and Gaytan Conboy, grandchildren: Emmet, Sawyer, Cooper, Lucas and Morgan, his brother; Kevin Sheehan (Betty) of Lepreau NB, sister; Lori (Larry) Skelding of Saint John NB, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased in addition to his parents by his first wife; Norma Henri-Sheehan and sisters: Debbie and Gayeanne and nephew Mason.

Barry was a longtime resident of Blacks Harbour having been employed for nearly 40 years as a laboror and service operator for Connors Brothers Limited and later the Ardagh Group. He was an avid sports fan especially hockey and baseball, his Habs and Blue Jays respectively as well as the Sea Dogs. Barry also umpired baseball and softball throughout the area and was very active in many local sports leagues and in later years, Barry also developed a strong passion for golf. In recent years he became a grampy which he also enjoyed very much, attending the many functions of his grandkids, especially their many sporting adventures. His kind nature and gentle way will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium from where the service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM with Pastor Jody MacBeth officiating. Visiting at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, New Brunswick Cystic Fibrosis Society or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
