Phyllis Muriel French
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on November 21, 2016, Phyllis Muriel French of Utopia, NB passed away peacefully surrounded by her entire immediate family. Born in Back Bay NB on September 12, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John and Muriel French. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving partner Reginald Taylor Frye.

A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Laurie (Ted) Wright, two grandsons, Ted (Patti) Wright and Ken (Amy) Wright, and three great grandchildren, Carter Wright, Kyler Wright and Christianna Wright. She is also survived by many close relatives and friends, Dwight (Dale) Frye, Charlene (Bev) Spofford, Jill Rae, Nancy (Bill) Roberts, Gary (Anita) Frye, Louise (Mac) MacDonald, Lynda Morton, Pearl (late Glen) French, Hazel Saunders, Marion Barry, Chris (Suzanne) Craig, Cheryl (Ed) Spear as well as her Grand Manan family, Louise (late Gordon), Shirley (late Sheldon) Cooke and Aunt Winnifred (late Percy) Harvey.

Phyllis was well known for her welcoming nature, having an open door for everyone. She enjoyed cheering on her Blue Jays and spending time with her animals.

Prior to retirement Phyllis worked as a law secretary for lawyers Caldwell Street and Ed Bell. Later she worked as the secretary of the District 21 School Board in St. George, NB.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB. As keeping with Phyllis' wishes there will be no visitation. A service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm from the Church of Christ, St. George, NB with Rev. David Haddon officiating. The interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery immediately following the service. In Phyllis' memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
