Ruth Dagmar  Steele
At Kings Way Care Center, Quispamsis NB on November 12, 2016, Mrs. Ruth Dagmar (Holmes) Steele, wife of the late Robert "Bob" Steele formerly of Beaver Harbour NB. Born at Mirror AB on May 19, 1928 she was a daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Boyd) Holmes. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins living in both Canada and the U. S as well as Northern Ireland. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bob and her sister Beulah.

Prior to her retirement, Ruth worked in retail both in Toronto for Eatons as a stock control manager and at Connors Brothers Retail in Blacks Harbour as a sales clerk. She lived in Beaver Harbour for several years where she was an active part of the community especially with the Beaver Harbour Archives. She also loved knitting and knitted things for Cottage Craft every year as well as enjoying time with her cats. Many a time she would be seen cruising on a mission with Marion Harvie and Shirley Quigley. She was also made an honorary member of the Eldridge family. Ruth also was a member of the O. E. S Granite Chapter # 15 in St. George as well as a long time member of the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church.

Although there will be no visiting, there will be a celebration of Ruth's life on Thursday at 2 PM from the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church followed by interment in the Pennfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The O E S Granite Chapter # 15 will be holding a tribute service at the church.The family also wishes to extend thanks to the management and staff of Kings Way Care Center for their kind and compassionate care Ruth received while she was a resident. In Ruth's memory, donations to Kings Way Care Center, Beaver Harbour Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family .
