James Linwood Lord

At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on November 7, 2016, James Linwood Lord, husband of the late Ina A. (Wilson) Lord of Fairhaven NB. Born on Adam's Island on April 18, 1931, he was a son of the late Charles and Minnie (Richett) Lord. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, James is survived by his sons: Daniel (Liana) Lord and Thomas (Krista) Lord both of Fairhaven NB; two step-daughters: Mary Ann Mitchell of St. Stephen NB and Melanie Warren of St. Stephen NB; one step-son: John Warren of Pennfield NB; five grandchildren: Leigh, Samantha, Spencer, Kyara and Cody (Nicole), several step-grandchildren; one brother: Cleveland Lord of Lords Cove NB; his special companion "Nuisance" as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, James was predeceased by one son: Alan Lord; one brother: Gerald Lord; and one sister: Bertha Lambert.

Prior to his retirement James was a fisherman for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting when he was able and just being outside. In recent years he kept close to his window watching the birds and just keeping an eye on things with Nuisance at his side.

As keeping with James' wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder's Head with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. In James' memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
