It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick William Cooke, husband of Ruby (Stoddard) Cooke announce his passing on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born on July 28, 1934 in Utopia to late Victor and Georgia (Dibblee) Cooke. Besides his loving wife Ruby, Fred is survived by his children: Davis (Juanita), Sterling (Marilyn), Audrey Wile, Phyllis (Carl) MacLean, Lewis (Joanne), Rena (Kevan) MacLean and Hazen (Fran) as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; children: Janie, Ellen and Allen siblings: Reginald, Lorena Hiltz, George and John; and granddaughter, Jane Morrison. Fred was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Fred worked with the NB Department of Transportation for 39 years retiring as supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, working in the woods and especially with his two vintage tractors. Above all Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend; spending time with his family is what really mattered to him.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George with visitation on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 pm and Friday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #40, 4 New Street, St. George on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in St. George Rural Cemetery following the service. For those who wish remembrances to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
