William Daken Mitchell

At the Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen NB on August 25, 2016, William Daken Mitchell, husband of Joice (Grant) Mitchell of Beaver Harbour NB. Born in Stellerton NS on February 22, 1943, he was a son of the late William and Jean (Daken) Mitchell. A loving husband, brother and uncle, he is survived by his loving wife: Joice; one brother: Frederick Mitchell of Elliott Lake ON and several nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brothers-in-law.

Prior to his retirement, William was a career Military Man who also worked as an administration clerk for DND for 35 years. He was an Arden Golfer who also ran his own Golf Business, Golf Services Unlimited. He was very active in the community and was an avid outdoorsman, who especially loved fishing. William was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Trenton ON and also a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association. He will be sadly missed all knew him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no visitation or formal service. In William's memory, donations to Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
