Dorothy "Diane" Gillmor

At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on July 23, 2016, Dorothy "Diane" Gillmor of Old Ridge NB and formerly of Bonny River NB. Born in Saint John NB on June 20, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Givan) Bunnell. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by two sons: John (Katie) Gillmor of Deer Island NB and David Gillmor of McAdam NB; daughters: Heather Gillmor of Saint John NB, Diana (Mark) Grant of Bonny River NB, Leslie (Hugh) Boudreau of Pennfield NB and Debra Gillmor (Luke Martin) of Bonny River NB; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Diane was predeceased by her husband: George H. Gillmor.

Diane was a loving and caring homemaker and mother. She was a longtime member of the Second Falls United Baptist Church where she played piano and was a member of the choir. She loved to be in the company of her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they brought her great joy. Diane enjoyed keeping busy crocheting and was known to play a good hand of 63's. When able, she taught piano and music to many of the local area children. Her kind soul and warm smile will be sadly missed by her family.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Diane's request, there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at the Second Falls United Baptist Cemetery at a later date. In Diane's memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
