David Albert Stewart
Peacefully at his residence on April 30, 2016, David Albert Stewart, husband of Janice (Moses) Stewart of Pennfield NB. Born in Pennfield NB on February 19, 1937, he was a son of the late David and Elsie (Baxter) Stewart. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, in addition to his wife Janice, he is survived by children: Mona Swanston (Kirk), Lisa Murray (Rick) and Jeff (Sari) Stewart all of Pennfield NB and Susan Cooke (Jeff) of Back Bay, NB; grandchildren: Stephanie (Duane), Pam, Jessica, Alice and Ella Rose; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Abigail, Jenna and Noah; his siblings: Edna Koteff (Toots), Ethel Gray, William Stewart (Margaret) and Joanne Acton (John); sister-in-law: Mary Stewart; chosen son: Joey Scammell; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by siblings: Norman, Glen, Dorothy and Laura.

Prior to his retirement Davie had worked in management for Connors Brothers. He then became a business owner and operated both D.A. Stewart Building Contractors and J.D. Stewart Fisheries Ltd. He was a true family man and valued his time spent with his family and friends. He was a member of the Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB, where he once served on the Vestry. An avid outdoorsman, Davie enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping in his spare time. He was a past president and an honorary lifetime member of the St. George Curling Club and was a member of the St. George Golf Club. Davie kept very active and was well known and respected in the community and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at the church on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating. In Davie's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer would be greatly appreciated by the family.
