Evans Joseph  Maillet Jr.
At his residence in Pennfield NB, Evans Joseph Maillet Jr., surrounded by his loving family and friends, on April 16, 2016 went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on November 6, 1954, he was a son of Yvette (Ferguson) Maillet and the late Evans Joseph Maillet Sr. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, he is survived by his loving wife Trudi Maillet of Pennfield NB; children: Sandy Nickerson of Blacks Harbour NB, Bradley Maillet of Pennfield NB and Necia Maillet of Moncton NB; his cherished granddaughter: Charlee (my brown cow); his mother: Yvette Maillet of Blacks Harbour NB; brothers: Alex (Sally) Maillet of Utopia NB and David Maillet of Blacks Harbour NB; sisters: Mary (Keith) Wobma of St. Andrews NB, Rita Maillet of Utopia NB, Helen Maillet (Danny) of St. Andrews NB, Emma Maillet (Dean LeBlanc) of Elmsville NB and Elaine Buchanan of St. Andrews NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Evans Joseph Maillet Sr.

Prior to retirement, Evans worked for Connor Brothers in Blacks Harbour as an Electrician. An avid and gifted musician, he truly was a friend to all and was known to be a perfectionist in all that he did. He loved his family and they meant the world to him and he was a proud and loving Papa to his granddaughter, Charlee. He devoted the last two years of his life to serve the Lord and his church. He was a devoted and well loved member of the Brothers In Arms and with his brothers enjoyed to spread the word of the Lord and help others in need. Evans passed away with a passion to see people healed and souls saved. Well known and loved in this community, he truly will be missed by all those who knew him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour NB on Monday from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will take place from the church on Wednesday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating, followed by the interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Evan's memory, donations to Water For Life, The ALS Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
