Linda Rose Cooke

Linda Rose (French) Cooke was born in Back Bay NB on March 16, 1942 to the late Sherby W. and Lillian A. (Cooke) French. She was the wife of the late Lawrence E. Cooke of Back Bay NB. After a lengthy illness, Linda was called home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2016 in St. Stephen NB. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is lovingly remembered by her three children: Christopher (Paula) Cooke of L'Etete NB, Stephen Cooke of Back Bay NB and Natasha (Chris) Cooper of Pocologan NB; grandchildren: Naomi Cooke of St. George NB, Christopher Cooke (Kristy Blanchard) of Bonny River NB, Brian Cooke of St. George NB, Christian Cooper and Kaylee Cooper both of Pocologan NB; three great-grandchildren: Madison and Megan Watson of St. George NB and Kolben Cooke of Bonny River NB; three sisters: Helen Amirault of Back Bay NB, Thelma (Eugene) Cooke of Back Bay NB and Marilyn Morrell of Saint John NB; two brothers: Bernard (Pam) French and Robert (Susan) French both of Back Bay NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was predeceased by three brothers: Reginald, Ronald and Clare.

Linda worked as a fish packer at Connors Bros. Ltd. Plants in Back Bay and Blacks Harbour all her life. She enjoyed spending time out to MacDougall Lake, with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was an avid card player and enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Jones. She lived life to the fullest, even after she had been diagnosed with Amyloidosis. She loved to spend time watching Criminal Minds and game shows. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always brought her lots of joy.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at the church on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Linda's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
