Donald Willard Van Horne

The death of Donald Willard Van Horne, husband of Ann (Johnson) Van Horne occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 after a period of failing health. He was born on September 29, 1947 in Black's Harbour to the late Charles and Martha (Kaglar) Van Horne. Donald was a professional driver for many years working with various companies. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Besides his wife, Ann, Donald is survived by his siblings: Gloria Scott of McAdam; Thomas of Canal and Tony (Elinor) of Harvey, Robert (Gracia) of Massachusetts; niece, Kim Johnson and her daughter, Tiffany and good friend, Larry Bennett of Canal.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George (755-3533) with visitation on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish remembrance may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
