Margaret "Maggie" Louise Ward
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 31, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, Margaret "Maggie" Louise (Rogers) Ward, wife of the late Leo Francis Ward of Seeley's Cove NB. Born at New River NB on September 10, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Jane (Clark) Rogers. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Maggie is survived by three sons: Charles (Jennie) Farquharson of Toronto ON, Brian (Jane) Ward of Utopia NB and Karl (Claudette) Mitchell of Pennfield NB; two daughters: Sharon (Larry) Whittier of Seeley's Cove NB and Janet Hooper of Back Bay NB; grandchildren: Laurie, Sara, Lisa, Jennifer, John, Marianne, Mark, Cathy, Marcy, Brett, and Cole; great-grandchildren: Brittany, Chad, Riley, Brady, Tanner, Ella, Bo, Mia, Ali, Brett, Cole, Hillary, Hailey, Tatum, Teagan and Chassie; special friend and caregiver: Maureen Evans; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Leo, she was predeceased by one granddaughter: Misty Hooper; son-in-law: Glendon Hooper; brothers: Gordon and Lorne; one sister: Annie.

Maggie had a loving heart and caring soul. She loved spending time with her family, doing puzzles, knitting and playing cards, especially 63's. She enjoyed being in the outdoors either working in her garden or camping. She was known for her love of animals and had a soft spot for her cats. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the St. George United Baptist Church, St. George NB on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. The service will be held from the church on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jason Hooper officiating followed by the interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Maggie's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
